Are you talking about inside trim around the factory windows or just window van interiors in general?
Factory windows were available on cargo vans with no interior plastic but passenger vans all had window trim that fit nice and tight, most aftermarket windows had specific interior trim plastic...
Your van has got to be inspiring people to snatch these AWD 1500's up!.......
Give those old conversion vans a way to redeem their fate as a tacky relic from the SUV line at the Elementary School to chasing trout on mountain streams. The Van might reward you with many trouble free miles for...
Your right, if ordering closes in October people will move on....
106,000 last year was a good showing for an old school design in the Van market, this shinny new upstart "Colorado" cutting in line can't be good for market share or QC...........

Old school vans get no respect, GM choosing not to produce vans they could be selling. The writing is on the wall for sure but demand is not the problem the bean counters are, with no...
That is exactly what happened on our Van, curtain material bought, Reflectix 2years and going strong....
I accidentally left the reflectix on the popout side window and got on the freeway doing 75MPH, the next exit seemed forever due to the noise mother nature made trying to pull it out. We...
LYlqoY2Fo,
I like your wheels, the choices these days are so complicated and busy looking I long for wheels of decades ago..............:ylsmoke:
The stock wheels are 17x7.5" wide, you can keep the stock backspacing and gain some stance with a wider wheel or play with both and trim as...
Until I cut the roof for a vent a 12V fan and screens are getting us through, the truck stop fans all died really quickly a Hella oscillator replaced them.
The marine fans are used in the "berth" so some are nice to sleep next to, like this...
The GM vans use two big tall rails down the whole length of the van bolted through the floor multiple times and covered up with alot of heat shields from below. While the seat rails go all the way back I am not sure the driver side 1/2 ton rail has all the mounts for the seat to drop in. I think...
Just a note if you are a few inches under 6 foot you can sleep sideways in a window van but you have to raise the bed to just below the window where it is widest, so your 53.5" used as a width is fine for two people, a twin bed is 55".
I like the progress nice use of factory plastic..............
I don't think 33" tall 285's really fit on a key lift AWD Van without some front fender rubbing, the little front axle seems to tolerate 32" 265's. I would be more worried about the GM tie rod's than ring gear size, I carry some spares. The 1500 AWD is just a forrest road queen that really loves...
What a bunch of great info for everybody...............
The little 7.25" has been in production for a very long time and is not known for problems other than being broken by the right foot of some people, the ZR-2 diff had some better internals.
The AWD 35%-65% split actually works well and...
Don't fret about the difference, Bilstein assured me the only diff between 4600 and 5100 is the body material and more options for lifted vehicles. The rear shocks Cyclist used 24- 18615 were my second choice as they are a little longer, but have softer valving.
Stock height rear 4600 bilsteins...
Congrats on the new GMC very nice indeed, I can't wait to see things come together for you. It's great to see a new GM Quigley on here, the more info on them the better they are one of but a few choices now. I came real close to ordering one and did a fair amount of research here are some pic's...
Update on HD suburban leafs
I put some thin poly bumpstops on top of the bottom leaf to try and quiet some clicking as the pack works, the leafs seem to work well. The bottom plastic pads fell out and these bolt in, very easy....

Glad to hear that one of the last AWD Vans got a good home, it looks like you have a very full life planned for it. Good score on the options I know how hard these are to find....
Yea, (tires were first on my list of mod's) you will really like the snow performance of the AWD Van. I almost...
Sure I bought the H.D. 3/4 ton suburban springs from:http://www.sdtrucksprings.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=7347
Are you getting rid of the shock extensions too?........I am running a set in the front and want to change them next spring........
I am glad this thread helped you out that is what the Expo does, another AWD1500 in the back country!... I started it to help Camper's see the AWD 1/2 ton Van is perfect for people who remember when everybody didn't have 4WD, and just how far into the back country a similar length 2WD reg cab...
