Nice, I have camped many a time at Ipsut Creek in the past.
Also backpacked to the glacier and spent many a night at the backcountry camps.
Too bad that road got washed out years ago.

Me to, I dropped anchor over a year ago, it's been nice sitting on our land but the outback is calling again.

I know, only for us it's been almost 6 years (well, with few weeks here and there on rental campers)... :( RVing around Greece and Croatia/Slovenia for 2 months in the row this summer really reminded how much we miss rolling about. Good thing that in few months we'll be back on the road and looking for adventures again! :)

Well, that's what off-road vehicles are for, no? :)
Last I heard the road driving into the campground was shut, and you had to hike a few miles in just to get to the car campground.
That was several years ago though, as I have not been on that road since maybe '93 or so.

I don't believe we've been there. But I love NW in general - such a beautiful place with lots of wild country.
The White River campground is at the North part of of the national park.
Ipsut Creek is at the North Western side.
Ipsut has I think 30 sites, White River has a little over 100 sites.

I liked the rustic setting of Ipsut Creek, but there was not much to see unless you hiked the trail up to the glacier.
At the White River campground, you have great views of the river and the mountain.
Here was the last time I was there, in 2010.

You can also drive a five mile or so road up to around 5,500', and then hike all around on trails.
That is called the Sunrise area, where the old pic of me and my boys is in the URL above.

Anyways, I have been to the White River campground numerous times, it is worth visiting many times.

Have any of you camped on a ferry boat? :) We have, twice - Alaskan Marine HWY. Don't forget lots of duct tape to secure you tent, though! :)

Thank you, Corey, we'll have to check it out!

BTW, we have same composite cooking propane cylinder in our Mog, only in bigger size! :)
