The poly panels are actually made for green house roofs. The ones I got were on Amazon and are rigid, 5/16” and are 24”x48”. There are tubes that run the length on the poly panel. I plan to countersink the bolts into the poly panel and epoxy them in. Then there will be 6 of these on every panel and the poly panels will affixed to the camper with VHB tape the same that parts of the camper are being constructed with. I plan to use roofing tape to secure the leading edge of the solar panels that are facing forward to the front of the truck to stop any wind from making them flap. I will also leave air gaps in tape securing the poly panels to let heat and water out. Hope this helps. I’ve tried posting pics but it won’t let me, I’ll try again later.

For how long? You say they are OK, but there are post after post on the solar forums of people THIS YEAR installing them and having delamination... what brand and panel did you use, and how did you attach?

Good to hear the quality has improved, I’d like to do 2-100 watt flexible panels, these are really well rated, hard to gauge quality from Amazon though, rather buy once, cry once.

I have a single 100w rigid panel on a custom mount bolted to my rack currently, but I’d like to cut some weight and not have the wind noise/drag
I used to have a Renogy 100 watt rigid panel which I mounted on a rack in front of my RTT and I had it for 3 years and this thing was crazy good no matter what the weather. I was going to buy 3 Renogy “black” flexible panels but the price had gone about $50 each in about 3 months so I started looking elsewhere and finally bought Sunpower flexible panels after doing so much research i got a headache. They were $100 each, I guess I’ll find out down the road.

The benefit of having the rigid is I can remove it in camp and get it in direct sunlight and position it with the mount I made, but if I go to a 200 watt panel not sure it’s worth the hassle. The size will increase by about a foot in each direction.

Sorry for the double post, I haven’t posted pics on Expo since they only started working on Tapatalk. Kind of a drag you have to get a premium subscription just to post more than one pic in a post.
The benefit of the rigid is certainly the ability to catch the best sun. I used to have issues running my batteries down after a couple days of sitting stationary, the panel fixed the issue and as many likely view it, solar is now a necessity.

Yeah, the rack was really built to make the truck dual purpose since so I could still transport materials and keep the tent on. I did plan the spot over the cab around a solar panel, the idea to make the mount was me just geeking out building stuff lol.

The nice thing is the dimensions/weight of the Lone Peak will be fairly similar to the rack, so I’ll be used to the characteristics.

I’m #1517. The website stated ready in August when I ordered but I’m guessing sometime end of this year, hopefully before spring 2025
Ya, I’m #248 and I ordered mine on 4/8/23. I’m hoping to get it by the end of march because I have a little more than a month to get it completed with my add on’s because I would like to go to the overland expo in flagstaff this year and it’s on may 19-21. I’m not really confident. I don’t go on any social media and this is really the only place to get info but I guess the only reason I’m here is because of the camper. I did see their cover page on linkedin and they had 6 campers almost ready to go.

Wow, I am so glad I didn't order one of these. A year to get one installed!! All while they have 100% of your $$.
I like the design, may get one later once install delay is down to 2 months or so...
For my current truck, getting a Tune installed thus week, mid Oct 23 order.

It’s worth the wait for me- current setup has worked fine for the last 8 years plus I’ll be that much more appreciative of it when I get it, the price is really good for the features you get- better than a comparably priced GFC, better sealed against weather, feel like waiting might see a big price increase (that’s a good way to slow demand as well), they’re in-state so supporting them feels right and don’t have to pay for shipping or have to drive halfway across the country.
I’ll be really excited to see everyone start to get theirs installed, not only keeping up on where their production is at, but getting some inspiration.
Also want to add, they do take 100% payment up front, but what I was told, in writing, is they offer 100% refund at any point before production begins and was told many people order the bare bones camper and add what they want once their build is in progress.

Does anyone know if it is possible to connect a power station to the juice box? In other words connect the juice box to something like a bluetti ac180? I am order number 359 and trying to decide what add ons I want when they call for the final build consultation. I could save a chunk of change if using a power station is an alternative to going with a dual battery setup. Thanks!
