Not sure. I bought 2 of them at the same time, sold one to a guy in Twisp, WA. I bought some spring pads to do a spring over but just haven't found the time to do it. My ultimate goal was to build a lid, mount an RTT, color match it to my Jeep, and serve general overland duties. In reality I'm building more towards superlight gear, low overall weight, and small and compact. I change my mind everyday unfortunately. Back on topic, your build is awesome, have you decided on a RTT? Are you on Northwest Overland Society's site?
Not yet. I looked at some of the cheaper tents for now to make sure I'm going to use it enough but was talked into just going for it and getting an ezi-awn.

Man I hate Bondo'ing:mixed-smiley-030: Got most of the trailer bondoed for now, just have to let it dry for a day or so and then sand the hell out of it.

Finished the bondo work on the box, primed it, and got the sides painted white. Hopefully will get the lid painted up tomorrow, did I mention I hate body work:ar15:

I have the same trailer and had it rhino lined with a color to match my truck (which is now for sale- trailer and all in the Vehicles for Sale thread, but I digress).

Thought you might appreciate what can be done.

I looked at that route but it would have cost more than I bought the trailer for. I'm going to finish painting the trailer, Herculine the inside, and then maybe have the AT fenders line-xed. I like the 90...

Got the lid painted before the rain hit. Hopefully will be getting the steal in the next few weeks to start the frame.

Making some progress. Got started on the frame the other day and is coming together pretty good. It's just tacked up right now, will get the leaf spring perches on and then finish welding it up. The tounge setup is pretty long compared to a stock M416 but this way the old swing clears and even if I fab up a tire gate that will also clear.

The first one:cow: It had been hacked on before with the original owner and was pretty well bent. As far as them being HD enough, they have been around for over 50yrs and still rolling. As for me I tend to over build some things:REExeSquatsHL1: The stock M416 setups don't work well with swingout's. I kind of wish I had made it a bit shorter for trail use but this way I can fab new designs or add more goodies to the front of the trailer. It is 10' end to end which is the same length as a "Chaser Trailer".

Slowly but surely I'm getting there:088:

Got the spring purches welded on, mounting brackets for the frame and also for the piece of diamond plate that is going on the front.

It's looking good man! I can't wait to see the finished product. Maybe I'll eventually make it over to give you a hand just so I can say I helped build it.:victory:
