Im sure there is plenty of stuff...but only because I havent tried to yet.
Nah, none of my stuff is perfect, but it saves me a bunch of money (usually) and allows me to enjoy my hobby. No Lambo's (or basement...), although I did have a pretty sweet little Porsche when we lived in Germany. Got the hood mounted up just a few minutes ago. Im happy with it. Wish I could have made it go all the way back, but the cage was in the way. Oh well.
Not much to see on the bottom side, other than the cross supports still being there.
Got about 3/4 of an inch gap. The hood actually raises up a fair amount higher than factory due to my gas strut I put on it, but it allows easy access to most anything.

Nothing Alex, the engine compartment isnt exactly sealed up, not really much need for it. The vents have been open for years...and of course the bottom side of the fram/engine area is open to whatever decides to get up in there, rain, animals, etc etc.

The cage work is awesome (looks like a well laid plan) and the cowl is genius! Nicely done!
As an aside, a true cowl induction hood is sealed to the carb and actually pulls air into the intake, (If I remember from the late 60's Camaro setup) using the high pressure area (at speed) at the base of the windshield. (Hence the term induction). Of course, since yours is not sealed to the intake, and I doubt most of your driving is high speed (especially in GA woods) it should allow any hot air you have to just rise right on up out of the engine bay. Hmmmm, I wonder how that would look on a Tundra?

Yep, you're right... Thats how my dad had them for years on his drag cars. I should have mentioned 'cowl induction look' since this has nothing to do with air induction. There is an Australian cherokee guy who did some simple but fairly accurate testing on different vent placement and hood scoops to allow air to be drawn out of the engine compartment, the cowl induction style hood work better than any vent when it came to drawing air out, as apposed to forcing it in.
Plus it just looks cool.
