    Hankook MT #1...BFG MT KM2 8th place?

Well, the 40" KM2's are gone and the 37" Hankooks will be here Thursday.....so we shall see how this little endeavor works out for me :D

    Hankook MT #1...BFG MT KM2 8th place?

They advertise that the 37" measure 36.8", and that's measured on a 10" wide test rim. So I'm hoping that with my 8.5" wide wheels, combined with the "E" rating, they will measure at least 36.5" with street pressure and the weight on my truck on them.

    Hankook MT #1...BFG MT KM2 8th place?

Logic maybe, but some companies seem to take more "liberties" in their listed measurements. Like I said, I've ran numerous tires on my rig and it's the BFG's that always seem to come up really short when it comes to height. Other than that and their silly sidewalls, they're still my favorite...

BFG MT KM2 vs. Toyo Open Country MT

I was referring more to their larger sizes, like the 37"x12.50"x17" tires - BFG KM2 = 71.6# Toyo M/T = 92.6# So yes, in this case they are "very" heavy IMO :).

    On-Board Air Compressor & Manifold

I'm running a Power Tank manifold, I have my CO2 tank connected to it to serve as back up the ARB compressor. I have a 1-gal. Viair receiver tank down on the frame rail to provide a little added volume to the system.

    Hankook MT #1...BFG MT KM2 8th place?

That article has been on my mind all weekend. I'm seriously considering throwing a set of Hankook 37's on my Tundra in place of the 40" KM2's that are currently on it. The biggest question I still have (that I can't seem to find an answer to) is how do they really measure, as compared to their...

    Fabrication - UHMW Polyethlylene Sheet

The UHMW skid plates that I run under my sliders have held up to three years of absolute abuse while being slammed repeatedly into rocks with 6,800 lbs of truck on top of them and have never failed.

    Tube doors and rain

Another alternative would be to make some quick disconnect door hinges and just bring the tube doors along with you if you have the space to haul them, I just throw my tube doors in the bed when I'm heading out for a long run in the summertime.

BFG MT KM2 vs. Toyo Open Country MT

I'm betting you can't find a set of KM2's that don't come already siped from the factory. I've seen people respond to KM2 questions even though they are running Krawlers, which do not come siped.

BFG MT KM2 vs. Toyo Open Country MT

I've ran them both and I'm currently running KM2's. Toyo's rode great, good off-road, tough side wall, very heavy tires. KM2's ride great, good off-road, not as tough of side wall, nowhere close to the weight of the Toyo's. I give a slight nod to the KM2's overall (and I must have "special"...

Past the point of no return...

Looks like a great job! It is pretty tall, you can probably work on spring rates and such to get it sitting a little lower if you so desire. The roof on my Tundra is right at 91" and the bottom of the frame rails are at 25" with it sitting on 40's at 35 psig.

    dyogim's 00 tundra build

Man that's weird. I'm surprised I didn't have any issues 9 yrs ago when I removed the 4WD computer and associated harnesses, ADD's, etc. Good find, that would be a tough one to track down if those wires weren't visible.

    Truck bed tents questions

We absolutely love our Sportz Truck Tent III, with the Airbedz mattress in it it's the most comfortable thing we've ever slept in while camping. Ever since we got it the tent cot and EZ-Up have been left in the garage :). On extended trips, like our recent 10-day trip through the Appalachian...

    Bed Steps?

Thanks everyone for the input. I ended up getting a Stromberg folding steel step from Amazon. We haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but it packs very thin and I like the leg locks. It's very sturdy and wide, and not too awfully heavy. I'll follow up after the next camping trip...
