Here is my set up. All my big projects get done outside as the inside is taken up with tools and supplies. It looks like a mess but there is actually an order to it.

Every time I tidy up my garage I can't find anything. I refer to it as organized chaos.

I just realized how long and babbling and vomit-draft-like my posts, were so I just edited for clarity. It should make a lot more sense now...

I also forgot to include this photo: Also in the shop ;)
Here are also better photos of the cool old trucks in the shop, the '29 Ford and the '58 Chevy Apache.

Isn't that the truth! Whenever I break down and take the quite significant time to get either the office or garage better organized I, soon after, can't find something that had been laying out in the clutter for the past several months or more! I think it has something to do with that guy named Murphy :jumping:

Here's mine; 28x38, log sided, ship lapped pine interior, leanto of the back; in current state of disarray.

Thanks Scott. This garage was a compromise. It originally was supposed to be a 48 x 30 pole barn style with three 9x7 door and one 9x10 door. When I went to dig the holes for the posts I found out that the creek use to flow right thru here and with the big dornicks (stones) there was no way I was going to auger a hole that didn't end up to be three foot wide. I had to throw in a foundation and stick build it and it cost about twice as much as I had planned, but it works. Couldn't do with less than three stalls. Oh, the ceiling is 10' tall because I was planning on a lift someday. If you need a garage to test lifts for the OJ garage, mines available. You can't just test them in desert conditions, got to know how the hydraulics work in cold temps...:shakin:

Cool garages.

We've been living in our home since August of 2006. My only criteria for a home other than washroom facitilies, eating facilities and sleeping quarters was a garage.
It's 14' wide by 24' long has a cracked foundation, suffers from water ingress on one side during real heavy rain storms as a result of the cracked foundation but it's insulated, wired with a 220V - 60A supply and closed in. It's a place where I enjoy spending time working on the truck or just tinkering away. It keeps me warm, out of the wind and mostly dry, what else can a person want!

I'll have to get pics tomorrow, it's dark right now. As for organization, it varies from project to project!

At a cleaner moment.

I have to many projects going right now and either no time or no money to work on them including that Poncho that has a motor sitting on the stand almost ready to go in. A 59 Airstream that is gutted from a frame off floor replacement and rebuild.

Here is my little shop. There is no room for the van. In all honesty, even if it was empty, there still wouldn't be room for the van!

A couple CNC machines, welders, grinders, sanders. Run of the mill stuff.

That's awesome, I wish I had a lot of that stuff (and the knowhow to use it). It is amazing what we pull off with the little tools we have.. Chop saw, grinder with cut off wheels, drill press, welder, that's about it :)

I built a couple trucks (SAS, custom bumpers, engine swap, etc) with a Porter Cable grinder, a 1/2" hand drill, a 100A Lincoln 110V MIG, and a Harbor Freight pipe bender. I know where you're coming from. For general fabrication, all of these fancy tools aren't necessary at all. I build automated manufacturing equipment when not covered in axle grease, so my shop is at "bare minimum" stage.
