Looking to ditch my old camp kitchen table and looking for its replacement. What's everyone using for a prep table and/or suggestions. Looking at this one as of now. http://www.alpsmountaineering.com/alps/products/furniture/tables/guide-table

While attending the 2014 AZ Off Camber event a few weeks ago, one of my fellow campers had a Browning Outfitter Table

from the Browning Web site...

My buddy even used his stove on top of it....

I've now organized my camp kitchen around a pair of the smaller Lifetime folding tables (2'x4' models). One is all plastic, the other is the "grilling table" that's half plastic and half wire "mesh" (although I found the openings in the wire too big to use with my grill, so I covered the wire with a thin sheet of galvanized steel that's riveted on).

The Lifetime all-plastic table is actually really hard to beat. Comparing price, size (and volume when folded), and weight, there are actually few tables out there that compete. You can spend 4x-6x as much for a table that weighs more, or 3x as much for one that's lighter but has an inferior leg mechanism and isn't adjustable, etc.

this last camping trip was with friends at a regular campground and the tables were not nasty :) so just used the camp tables but put my kitchen box out
can see the edge of the IGT is setup with cooking stuff though :)
used our cooler instead of fridge which I mentioned a bit ago found OK for a few day trip and just wanted to use the cooler again for fun but going back to fridge full time :) haahhaah good to remember how nice a fridge is :)
downside to the official camp places with tent pads can't setup our big SP tent ?

still loving our river rafting kitchen box though the thing is working our really nice still doing some tweaking every trip so not %100 dialed in but love the way it works gives us pre prep area and closes quick and is sturdy etc... :)

My birch camp box... complements of my FIL. I provided pictures and rough drawings from many of the boxes in this thread and he worked it up.

My requirements were that it fit a Coleman 425 series stove, and also fit under the Access bed cover on my truck. If I recall, it comes out to 19 1/2" tall over all. I holds a surprising amount of "stuff". I'd like to find some little bins to slide in and out of the cubbies.

Couldn't agree more, I use a fold in half style one that is roughly 30" square when folded and it is a rock solid performer in the outdoors. Its also nice to have around the house for guests and family get togethers. For less than $40 bucks it gets my vote every time. I dig the adjustable leg feature and that you get a nice BIG surface for prep or eating at.

Very nice!
Similar to mine.
These boxes sure make it a lot nicer when cooking in the field.

Do you guys that run the stoves in the rear under a hatch have any issues with grease build up on the glass/trunk lid? I've also been wondering about the heat build up.

I've got the Adventure Trailers setup on the way for the JK but I would like to know if you guys have had any issues.
