I toss the airbags in the rear springs of my Gladiator Mojave before my last big trip to Moab. About 4 days after I picked up the camper.

For 120 bucks they’re doing a great job. I plan to do an eventual proper suspension upgrade, but these are getting the job done for sure.

That’s what I was thinking. A couple hundred bucks now vs. several thousand for suspension, wheels, and tires.

Airbags are great for a heavy load, but they do affect your suspension travel. I noticed a big difference when going up and over rocks. Definitely a lot stiffer in the rear - the springs were not compressing as much.

Trying to decide on a diesel heater. So many different kinds. Mine will be external and removable. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I was watching a YouTube video of a recent Overlanding show and they had one by a company called 4x4Colorado, or maybe it was Colorado4x4.

Looked pretty decent. The price range is in between the cheap Chinese one, and the very expensive European ones. Supposedly US made. Was around 500 bucks.

It seems like it might be a decent deal. I am looking for one as well since the winter months are coming.

I'll be doing a 6 month review on my camper here in a couple weeks. I've got over 30 nights in the camper so far. No major issues to report. If you watch YouTube at all, can check my channel for any info you please. I've got no affiliation to them, so I don't hold back if I have issues. I've got to plan a trip over to get my rear hatch replaced, early campers had an issue with the rear window chipping. Havnt scheduled it yet, as it's a 5 hour drive for me to go over there.
This is interesting. I had to have my rear hatch replaced because it eventually fell out of the hinge channel. The new hatch has been good so far, but I've noticed in the last couple of weeks it has started chipping.

Has anyone else had issues with there back hatch.

I was out camping and went to push it open from the inside and it popped out of the upper c channel.

I will be taking it in for warranty but just seeing if anyone else has seen
this issue.
Yes, mine started coming out and eventually it did fall out. LP warrantied it and fixed it, but I'm curious if the issue will present itself again. I should note mine was one of the first 10 built.

It happened to me as well. They have redesigned the end brackets so now has a insert that goes inside the tube at the top of the door. Should be no way it can come out now.

Interested in a gasoline/petrol heater, there’s lots of YouTube videos on this guy, looks very similar (at least from what I can see on the exterior) to a Webasto but at half the price

lower co2 output as well as lower exhaust temps compared to diesel. If I can figure out how to easily/safely tap into a gasoline fuel supply I like the idea of hard mounting it, I’d have no issues cutting holes in the truck bed for all the exhaust/supply lines if I could do it cleanly.

Order #452 checking in. I placed the order on 11/03/2023.
Truck: 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 shortbox (5'8" bed)
Options: Cab passthru window, heater port, 2 rear grab handles. Planning to keep this build very basic to maintain truck bed functionality.

Looking forward to seeing some built campers on here soon!

Well… it was a long wait, but am feeling pretty good now that this thing is on the truck.

I added a few extras during the confirmation call (juicebox, interior lights, side/back lights) and was glad to have those creature comforts on night 1.

LP staff was friendly and professional, and initial quality seems good.
