Picked him up last night! And let me tell you, loading/unloading at night will NEVER be an issue :)

Sits nice and level for now - will need to get larger tires eventually.

IMAG0078.jpg

High Clearance axle designed to pull behind Hummers!

IMAG0087.jpg

Nearly exactly as wide as the van. Where Vantom fits, the trailer fits!

IMAG0079.jpg

Hand Brakes are a nice touch.

IMAG0081.jpg

Probably going to ditch the Surge brakes, although they certainly work!

IMAG0082.jpg

Not overly long - great combo!

Bed is in pristine condition!

Funny story - for those who like to read. I replied to a CL ad for an similar trailer, to which the guy said it has sold the day before. He mentioned he had seen another in Durango. That would be a 7+ hr drive for me, each way. The Durango guy still had it, and the other guy said he'd buy the top/bows from me if I ended up with it. I figured, that would pay for fuel at least. Then Guy #1 offered to actually go pick it up for me in exchange for the top/bows. I sent payment to Durango guy, got those 2 in contact and picked up my trailer from Guy # 1 having never seen the trailer, never seen the seller, and never seen the transporter :Wow1:

It all worked out perfect! I couldn't be happier!

Excellent. I toyed with the idea of a trailer though. What's your overall length?

Good question! 32' almost on the dot tip to tail. Keep in mind I don't have a front bumper, so that will get me more or less around 33'. I also may get a longer pintle just in case...

Just a fuel tank question...

Ok, so you had to shorten the tank to make clearance for the t-case...
your fuel tank is long and oval, my van doesnt have a tank like that, my tank is behind the rear axle and there is nothing along side the drive shaft and tranny...

My van also has a second fuel filler door, one in front of the rear wheel and one behind, the diesel goes in the rear fuel door, the front one opens but has a piece of plastic blocking it off

im guessing that my van was equipped with a after market fuel tank that is located where i would assume the spare tire goes....

anyone have any info on this...?

It's official, I'm completely hooked. This was by far one of the most fun weekends I have ever had in my whole life. I highly recommend buying a dirtbike!

Me, GF and buddy. There were 5 of us at any given time, just me and the GF out yesterday. I probably put about 10 hrs on the bike between Sat and Sun.

Spectacular day.

She is really, really good...

Probably the thing I love the most is getting to places few get to see. I LOVE history, global and local. For me, these mines are absolutely incredible.

Although this one didn't make it too far :)

And we looked good doing it! Little trailer worked perfect. Vantom towed like a boss. He could certainly use a little bit more power going up the passes... hmmmmm...

Oh, and yes I crashed. 3 times, all on the first day. Twice in the sand, one coming down a steep hill. I managed to come out all in one piece.

Glad you had fun. I love dirtbikes too. Eventually, I would like to have some again, and your trailer is making me ponder the future.
