Lookin to buy a LR3 or LR2, need adivce

Bought my 03 DII in 2007, maintenance has been nominal, and all of the serious issues have been caused by trail abuse. I do the recomended maintenance, fix leaks etc. as they appear, and open the hood every time I gas up to eyeball the fluids, sniff for coolant, etc. LR3s and 4s are pretty nice...

I believe the current state of affairs over there David is they just don't have any idea of what they're doing. I am positive that more and more folks are just clamoring to be a part of a club that cannot even manage the freaking bb, let alone schedule trips, or meaningful events... give me a...

    MPG & Reliability?

Mpg is what it is. My 03 gets about 9-10 mpg around town when i use it for work, less in winter. If you are trying to rationalize your potential purchase, seriously, Rupp was correct, look at a toy or a heep. Land Rovers invoke your inner passion for the legend of land rover. Just as some folks...

    Engine Mount removal DII

Brackets need to come off to replace the mounts. Just did mine. Need a stubby 18mm wrench, and some leverage on the drivers side to get it to spin. Used a length of wood from the engine bay to knock loose the upper passenger side mount. Took close to 3 hours including swearing breaks. I used...

    Cloudveil closes Jackson office

After reading this thread, I had to laugh. In 77-78 I dated a medivac nurse who worked winters in Jackson, and skied there very frequently. Common thought was ANYONE who refered to Jackson as "Jackson Hole" was either a tourist or a ski-bum wannabe. :ylsmoke:

    A 109 for sale

I, too have seen that Rover. Dual ignition set-up, full roll cage, this thing was stripped to the core and re-assembled for a guy who wanted to drive around Africa or somewhere and use it as a photo rig. The sunroof pop-ups can hold a full grown man. the list on that Rover is pretty extensive...

    Wolf's Ongoing Discovery Build Thread

I rarely chime in on this stuff, yet I would voice the opinion that sliders are something that someone should consider as I have personally watched the results of climbing in a rock strewn dry creek bed without a slider to help deflect a close call. If someone intends to greenlane or lightly...
