    Gen3 wheels on a gen2.5... with modifications?

Yeah the paj evo has a smaller centre bore like the mk3, and also doesn't have the hub coming through the wheel at the front like the mk2 paj. Sent from my ONE A2003 using Tapatalk

The Life and Times of my Pajero

Thanks, I got them for next to nothing with some garbage tyres on them, cleaned them up with some paint and they're much better. I fear for the valve getting bust off as it comes through from behind the spokes and is a bit vulnerable I didn't get around to it, and ideally I should because I've...

The Life and Times of my Pajero

Once again I have left it over a year between updating the thread. Got the coopers on the wheels and i'm really impressed with the way they are on the road. They don't perform great in the peaty and sticky soil were get here, but once you get them spun up they're fine. Shortly after getting...

    Post your Mitsubishi Pajero Pics

Heres a couple of pics of mine from our last outing, started the day ghetto fixing a coolant pipe that started leaking on christmas eve, when nowhere that would sell any materials would be open. Spotted this in town a while back and thought it was lovely, 1990 mk1 2.5 that seemed mostly...

    Montero/Pajero Tech Info

Thats a good resource, but a fair bit of it is Australia specific, I know the spec of the EU and Japanese models differ from that list in places, but it is a good baseline to go off

    Body Lift Transfer Case Shifter

I trimmed a bit off the boot, and took a dremmel to the centre console, only a small nick but it was enough to get it to shift into 2h Sent from my ONE A2003 using Tapatalk

Has anyone upgraded the valve body on their transmission? TC lock-up?

I made my own lockup from a switch, just found what wire I needed to tap into from under the steering wheel, where the transmission plug is, made a simple circuit with a relay, and a diode to stop the trans ECU from getting any false readings (didn't know if it would happen or not) I have it...

Help me build an automotive wiring Tool Box!

Get a selection of wago connectors for quick prototyping and testing without making anything permanent. Good soldering gear, a gas iron is very handy, a good solder sucker, and soldering wick. I also find self healing tape useful for tidying stuff up. I also managed to score a sample box of...

    Rear locker woes. :(

I had the same issue today and I'm just in the house from fixing it. I put a vice grip on the hose before the diff, and turned on the pump, if it keeps pumping you know it is a leak between the pump and vice grip. My locker was put in by me, so I have soft lines the whole way from the pump to...

how "weak" are the axles in a 92 SR?

I'm not sure about how they were in the states, but the early models here had a bit of an issue with the axle housings cracking at the weld between the tube and the diff housing, I think it was rectified in 93. They wouldn't crack suddenly, they'd weep fluid for a while first

    OEM Locking IRS Differentials

Try the UK too, especially eBay, the shoguns up to 05 (not positive on that) came with a rear locker that can be got secondhand for reasonable money, on my phone at the minute, but I'll get some links when I'm on the computer

    Unstable Steering Over Bumps

Could it be your rear panhard rod Bush? The one in my old Suzuki wore out and it felt like something was up with the steering as the rear axle would steer it going over bumps. I replaced my front shocks which had gone stiff a few months ago, and the handling was transformed, might be worth...

    Post your Mitsubishi Pajero Pics

The gearboxes are the same, but the bell housing bolt patterns are different. The starters are on the LHS of the vehicle in the diesels too. I imagine the bell housings are unbolt able and the 4m40 one stuck onto the existing gearbox. I find the 2.8 a bit sluggish to keep up with traffic, but...

Funky Smell from Vents = Leaking Heater Core?

    Gen 2.5 - Window won't stay up!

As said above you'll need the whole assembly, not a tough job to do, but it is a fiddle, some suction cups to hold up the glass in the right position is a good help. Also if you find that your windows are gone slow, a spray of silicone oil in the felts up the runners on the window frame help a lot

Drove the manual gen 2.5 today

The ones with the bigger engines have raised body mounts compared to the smaller engined models, The 3.0 12v and 2.5 diesel have standard body mounts, and the 3.0 24v , 3.5 and 2.8 diesel have the body mounts 40mm higher, because their gearbox bell housings are bigger, and the bell housing bolts...

What did you do to your Mitsubishi today?

New springs in the back, after mine had gone saggy and rather bouncy after not much time. You can lift the SWB by putting HD LWB springs into it. Drives brilliantly now, not as much rattling, bouncing and diving from the rear, got the dragster lean back too

What did you do to your Mitsubishi today?

I replaced my fuel filter after noticing it is struggling and spluttering going up hills This is what came out Ran a tin of fuel system cleaner and it seems to have taken care of everything, I may clean the filter in the tank too I've put new shocks on the front, and I'm awaiting the...

    HID Lights

I did a retro fit on my truck too, made a nice difference on the drivability at night, got 4300K HIDs in it. The 7" round headlights on mine were a bit of a pain, I ended up buying a total crap set of chinese round headlights, making a jig, cutting them around the edge straight, got a flowerpot...

    Pizza Cutter tires...

I think 235 85 is a pretty popular size, but i'm not sure how the availability is for that size, companies are moving towards bigger widths, and bigger wheels these days. I prefer the look of a 10.5 tyre myself, but I got a set of 12.5s at a very good price secondhand, and I can't get over how...
